QUICK BIO
BIOGRAPHY
New Zealander, William Kircher, is a graduate from Toi Whakaari. Although, when he originally signed up, he lied about his age.
Kircher is a veteran of over one hundred theatrical productions as well as numerous appearances on film and television. Strangely enough, murder has been a big part of Kircher's screen life - whether dying on screen, killing others, or playing the policeman on the case. His first big screen appearances were small roles as policemen in movies Trespasses and Constance (both 1984). Later came kidult TV fantasies Cuckoo Land (1986) and Worzel Gummidge Down Under (1987-1989), a leading role in Ray Bradbury Theatre (in episode 'A Miracle of Rare Device' (1989)), and his breakthrough part in the Wellington based TV series, Shark in the Park (1989-1991), which raised him to prominence.

In 2000, he became the lead singer for the Wellington based band, The California Dreamers. The band glorifies the heady days of the late 60s and early 70s – with an equally heady repertoire – and an ‘act’ that endorses the metaphor.
Kircher worked for Raymond Thompson’s company, Cloud Nine Entertainment, shortly before they hit paydirt with The Tribe. Kircher was the communications executive for the show. Kircher has many years’ experience as a TV producer and executive, including the role of line producer on the Bryan Bruce show, The Investigator, for 14 months.
After Cloud Nine relocated to Australia, Kircher set up company ScreenAdventures with longtime friend Michael Hurst and later Cloud 9 executive Geoff Husson.
