"BOMBUR, CATCH"
-Bofur
QUICK BIO
BIOGRAPHY
Cousin to Bifur, and brothers with Bofur, Bombur is enormously fat (even for a Dwarf), is slow and rather shy. He has a fiery red beard plaited into an impressive hoop.
Bombur isn’t a descendant from the line of Durin. But instead, raised among the coal miners and the iron workers of the West of Middle-Earth.
Bombur hardly speaks, possibly because his brother Bofur speaks quite enough for them both. And he tends to be quiet and thoughtful.
Unlike most Dwarves, he is not driven by greed but loves the finer things in life.

He often ponders to himself when his next meal may be, but has been given the duty of Cook for the Company. Over time, he has developed into a fussy cook, although his companions may not always agree. If he had his own way, he’d make many meals that even Bilbo would be full. His large size sometimes gets him into some amusing scrapes.
Bombur can be quite a fighter, doughty and determined in battle, implemented by weapons of various cooking implements such as a vast ladle, pots and pans and a very large, sharp, roasting fork.
He also helps to finance the company by making and selling clever little wooden toys.
Because of his vast size, he was the first threatened to be eaten alive by the spiders of Mirkwood.

One of the great misfortunes, maybe more so to the other Companions, is that he fell into the Enchanted River and almost instantly fell asleep. This caused the other Dwarves to carry him through the murky forest.
Bombur survived the Battle of Five Armies. Years later, it was reported by Glóin that Bombur was “so fat that he could not move himself from his couch to his chair at table, and it took six young dwarves to lift him.”
