"THAT'S WHY WE NEED A BURGLAR!"
QUICK BIO
BIOGRAPHY
Younger brother to Dori and Nori and related to Thorin. Ori is rather quiet, polite, and prefers to spend his time drawing and writing in his journal, which one day, without a doubt, it will become a most fascinating artifact. With his abilities, he becomes the scribe for the Company.
He looks like he had just wondered out into the countryside on a slightly chilly day to sketch birds or flowers, for he hardly looks equipped to set out on such a dangerous mission. Ori has a chinstrap beard and a bowl cut, and wears a grey hooded cloak with a cable knit scarf, mittens and a cap, all badly knitted by his mother. Also on his persona is a satchel that contains his quills, inks and journal. With regards to weapons, he uses a knife and catapult, and one can definitely say that he is trained with the catapult.
Ori spends most of the time being bossed around by his brothers, but that doesn’t mean he won’t stand up for himself when the time comes. He has a surprising amount of courage and determination which can surprise people, even when in the face of danger. He appears as a bit nerdy and a little geeky. His other qualities include being gentle, and sweet-natured.

Ori hasn’t travelled around much, let alone seen a Goblin or Dragon, until now.
Ori looks upon some of the other dwarfs (particularly Thorin) with great respect and not a little awe, part of which may be because they all seem to have better weapons than him, and know how to use them. Ori turns an ever-optimistic, brave face to the world and is something of a talisman to the entire Company, all of whom are protective of the young Dwarf.
Ori fought in and survived The Battle of the Five Armies.
In the Fellowship of the Ring, it’s his skeleton we see in Balin’s tomb. In his hand was the book of Mazarbul, which had the events of The Hobbit recorded inside. He had also recorded the last stand of Balin and his company against the Orcs of Moria. The last words, as Gandalf read, were "They have taken the Bridge and the second hall: we have barred the gates...but cannot hold them for long...the ground shakes...drums in the deep...we cannot get out. A shadow moves in the dark. Will no- one save us? They are coming."
