"OH, DID YOU HEAR THAT, LADS?
HE SAYS WE'LL BLUNT THE KNIVES!"
QUICK BIO
BIOGRAPHY
Brother of Bombur and cousin to Bifur, Bofur descended from the Dwarves ruled by Durin in Moria, otherwise known as Khazad-dûm, raised among coal miners and iron workers.
He maintains a feisty relationship with his brother, and often teases him mercilessly about his vast size, his slowness and shyness, and his poor sibling is often the target of his sharp tongue, or the sole of his boot.
Bofur is rather talkative which leads him to state the obvious and blurt out things without thinking. He also has a wicked sense of humor, which lightens the mood in the darkest of moments.
Bofur is energetic and wildly optimistic and tends to take a liking to being the leader.
He may not be especially brave; he will do his best to help those in need, especially those he counts as friends.

Bofur has a great love of music and delights in singing. He plays the flute. He also delights in good food and company and is unfailingly optimistic. He is always willing to cheer up his fellow travellers with a song, which makes him the heart and soul of the Company.
It wasn’t the dealings with Smaug that he favored about the Quest, it was more the adventure than a home he had never seen.
Like his cousin Bifur, he helps to finance the company by making and selling clever little wooden toys.
Like his relations, Bofur joined the Quest for the Lonely Mountain partly to seek his fortune – and partly because he was told the beer was free.

He is often guilty of over exaggerating (as he believes) the dangers that the Company of The Quest are likely to face, in order to tease his companions. In fact, when faced with real danger, his exaggerations barely do justice.
Bofur is skilled with a delicate whittling knife, and other weaponry that reflected his heritage such as mattocks, picks and other workmanlike tools. He hopes this is enough as he isn’t the bravest Dwarf or trained in fighting, but he can be a tough scrapper when the time calls for it.
Before Bilbo leaves the Company behind in the Misty Mountains, it is Bofur that bids him farewell. This was because he was the lookout while the others were asleep.
Bofur was left behind in Lake Town due to oversleeping from the over excessive party the night before, and was therefore left to help aid Kili. His responsibility was to find Kingsfoil to help heal Kili.
Bofur fought in and survived the Battle of the Five Armies. He was given his share of the treasure by Dain Ironfoot, and made his home in Erebor.
